New Casa Performance Vortek Fan for Vape Ignitions

Vape Ignitions are now one of the most popular Lambretta ignitions on the market. They are reliable and well made but they caused us a problem. The original fin pattern for the Vape did not fit under our CNC CasaCooler or onto our CasaCase engines without modifying the fins. For that reason, we decided to make our own Vape fan.
In the process of designing a new fan we thought we would see if it was possible to improve the fin layout to increase the air output from the fan. With our re-designed fin pattern we managed to improve the output by 17%! Yet this fan still fits under any Lambretta flywheel cowling as well as the CasaCooler and onto CasaCase engines.
The Vortek fan is CNC-machined in Italy from high-grade aluminium. One novelty of this design is the use of an internal O-ring between the fan and the flywheel to dampen vibration. The fan fits to the flywheel using the original countersunk Torx screws. We advise applying fresh Loctite to the screws before fastening to XXNm.
If you plan to fit a Vape ignition to any Lambretta engine, we highly recommend upgrading to the Vortek fan to improve cooling efficiency.
