The DELL’ORTO PHB series carburettors are the top choice for mid-range tuning. They belong to the drum carburetor category—that is, carburettors with a round Throttle Slide—and are available with a bore of 24–30 mm. The DELL’ORTO PHB carburettors are the right choice for anyone who wants to get more power out of their scooter while keeping costs as low as possible.

Unfortunately, DELL’ORTO carburettors are not always in stock. YSN now offers an affordable alternative. Their carburettors are very similar in design to the DELL’ORTO carburettors and are intended for comparable applications. Most of the individual parts and tuning components are interchangeable with those of the DELL’ORTO carburettors. Only the centering pin of the Throttle Slide needs to be modified on some models if DELL’ORTO Sliders are to be used.

The design of the PHB carburettor is somewhat more complex than that of the SI or SHB models. However, the PHB carburettor also allows for greater flexibility in individual adjustments. These are achieved through a judicious combination of Needle, Mixer Tube, and Jets from DELL’ORTO’s extensive lineup. Fine-tuning to suit the specific engine must always be performed by the user and tailored to that particular engine.

The carburettors come standard with a Flip-Up Choke but can easily be converted to a Cable-Choke using the appropriate kit.
