Paul Calder - Vega 75 -TT135

Our long-time customer Paul Calder from Edinburgh is the man behind the idea of the ‘Hub Tours’, which are 5 days of riding Lambretta scooters around various parts of Italy. The idea is based on daily ride-outs starting from the RLC shop to different destinations which are between 180 and 200km. It also involves other RLC customers who bring their bikes to the shop, or rent a space in our dedicated stores, where they have the option of leaving them stored until the next ‘Hub Tour’, rally or event. The Idea came to Paul’s mind after spending few days riding one of his Lambrettas here in Italy, along with his brother Grant and friend James, in the exclusive company of our Innocenti riding legend Tony ‘TT’ Tessier. The first edition of the ‘Hub Tour’ saw Mr. Big TT riding his freshly restored Vega 135, fitted out with a ‘CPOne35 kit, Firefly Ducati electronic ignition, Lunamaster clutch, Vega5 5-speed gearbox and a LunaSports exhaust which meant that his scooter was now super reliable, quick and heaps of fun. All these Casa Performance manufactured upgrades are available for all J and Vega range smallframe Lambretta models. At this point Tony decided to go for a ‘60s sports look, something similar to his designs he coujoured up as a young scooterboy when working for Supertune, Arthur Francis and Lambretta Concessonaires, that could suite the classic lines already designed by Bertone. He came up with a bespoke, custom paint scheme for the Vega, and the TT135s were born. Paul had previously purchased a freshly restored yellow ochre Vega 75, but upon seeing, and discussing the new TT135 designs and details with Tony, subsequently decided to ask RLC to convert his plain, standard machine; thus becoming the owner of the 2nd TT135.
