Tom Redfern TV175

Tom has had some well tidy machines in the past including the stunning Lambretta Series 1 '59 n' Running Fine'. Tom asked us to restore a scooter for him and after discussing his requirements, we located a good clean example of a TV175 Series 3. This scooter will have a reasonably 'standard' look to it with a few nice touches that Tom has asked for. The engine casings have been acid dipped and polished and rebuilt with as much NOS stuff as we can lay our hands on. The engine unit will remain 175cc and the only non-original addition is the addition of a Casa variable electronic kit. The actual bodywork is being built up using mirror polished stainless steel fasteners all around. It's already looking amazing and we're now well on the way with the rebuild. We'll keep you posted with pics as we proceed...

Update No.1 We've now got Tom's scooter up and running and it all seems sweet as a nut. The latest variable Casa ignition systems really are the biz and you can hear the difference. The scooter is stunning : clinically 'clean' to the eye and we'll be adding just a couple of really neat touches requested by Tom. Our Fabri has just finished the one off exhaust and it sounds superb. As soon as the snow outside the workshop gives way to some decent weather, we'll be clocking up the miles before the scooter heads off to Tom's garage.
