TV 225 sidecar Shiro

Shiro is a real cool character and one of the main players on the Japanese scooter scene. He runs the top Lambretta shop there: 'Lambrettability'. He has had a few scooters form us over the years and this time he wanted something a bit different from the norm! The idea was to build an outfit that wouldn't have looked out of place racing around the IOM in the late 60's. A TV200 was the basis for the job and an original sidecar was subsequently located in the UK. We opted for the darker colours and a choice of extras to make the whole outfit stand out from the crowd. There's little point building a sporting scooter if it only 'looks' fast, so the engine was also uprated to 225cc, for extra pulling power and speed. Once the outfit was built and tested, the two parts were momentarily separated and then packed off to Japan. The outfit now sits proudly in Shiro's shop amongst his other scooters.
