SX 225 BelAir Marcello

Marcello was so impressed by the BelAir we had built for Nick Tolley that he asked us to build him one for his museum. The only requirement was that it had to be "better!" This meant sourcing an original 70's 225cc kit to power the bike, the fitting of an original Chronametric Smiths speedo and a toolbox mounted rev counter. We had our bodyshop chaps do the business on this last item with them 'lipping' both the toolbox and the door so the shape 'flowed' around the rev counter. As with the previous BelAir we built, this one also features a running in sticker with 5 speeds, a handlebar gearchanger engraved with '5' and the routing of the left hand exit exhaust and not forgetting a side hinged 'Everest' seat. Nick's BelAir was cool but Marcello admitted that this was indeed "even better". Job done.
