Savers has always been impressed with the 'My Minds Eye' TV200 we had built and wanted to build a similar scooter but with his slant on the ideas. We worked it through together and came up with the Lambretta you see here. Savers train of thought was that in the early 60's a young Mod probably would not have had the money for a 'top of the range' TV200 so his choice of steed would have more than likely been a more 'humble' LI150. The next decision was what accessories to fit and Savers put together several designs for us to work around and a list of eventual accessory 'candidates' that he considered would work well on the finished scooter. All the accessories had to be originals with some, such as the Super front mudguard trim, even being 'cut n' shut' so the paintwork design flowed nicely around it. The same applies to the accessories on the sidepanels: all were reworked, around Savers' paintwork design. The front and rear crashbars were also extended, cut n' shut and then flowed to sit PERFECTLY to the scooters' bodywork. Check out the way the front bars sit totally flush against the legshields or the way the bottoms of the rear bars have been extended and curved in towards the rear runner boards to emulate their front cousins. Not a shabby bracket in sight. A Nannucci toolbox was fitted inside the legshields and that supports all the switches for the lights on the front. Needless to say everything that has been fitted, works. The extremely rare original, chunky, Ulma Florida bars needed hours of work to get them back into shape and they really do set the rear end off to a 'T'. On it's first outing, 'Il Pavone' picked up 'Best Overall' scooter at a rally and that really sums this bike up. A very cool bike for a very cool owner.
