Rear hub bearing plate (kit) set of 3, stainless steel, MB Lambretta S1 + S2 + S3 + SX + DL This is a set of 3 of new MB designed Rear Hub bearing plates.
Comes in stainless steel.
1) comes with a flat face one side and a recess of 0.3mm on the other.
2) comes with a recess of 0.5mm one side and 1mm on the other side.
3) comes with a recess of 0.9mm one one side and 1.2mm on th eother side.
These new plates are designed to get rid of the older shim and plate - you only fit this plate!
This design locates over the bearing making sure when it's tightened down the bearing stays in place.
This design has the 4 holes elongated to fit over old engines with bent out studs.
When you are building an engine, you do not know how high the machining is or how high the bearing is machined and how how it will be. Using the standard shim and plate with a bearing that sticks up the plates bend and the studs pull to one side. These plates stop this happening.
This is a set ready to build an engine so you have no worry about the beariing position.
Top tip - use 6mm nyloc nuts and dont over tighten the plate, so the studs bend. Top tip - ideally once tightened there should be a gap of 0.1 - 0.2mm from the shim to the casing.
