RACE QUALITY 68mm x 120mm crankshaft for CasaCase engine casing (+ SSR265 Scuderia) manufactured by Italins crank specialists Fabbri Racing exclusively for Casa Performance.
Collaborating with Fabbri Racing, an Italian shop who are well-known in Vespa circles, we have developed a Race version of our extra-wide crankshaft for CasaCase engine casings. The two main differences between this crank and the standard version is one, the (different) positioning of the inserted tungsten weights and subsequently the overall weight, which is 300gr more. Secondly, the actual webs are thinner thus allowing more gases to flow around the crankcase. The difference in weight turn effects the way the motor spins; basically this crank has been developed and designed to spin a lot faster than the crank we supply as standard with each CasaCase. The thinner webs allow for more room in the crankcase for more fuel to be transferred and put simply, the more fuel you add, the faster you go.
This crank is destined for the SSR265 Scuderia set-up as it has a 68mm stroke and a 120mm conrod. As a direct comparison, this new crank will make your engine (even) faster.
Owners of Scuderia’s can swop their current crank for this version (it’s plug n’ play) and will then subsequently gain a couple of bhp in the process.
