Lambretta GP SST265 - Geoff Smith, UK

This stunning scooter was on sale here on the website on behalf of a local lad and was snapped up by Geoff Smith from the UK. Geoff wanted the scooter to have the full works and gave us the go-ahead to swop the motor for a full-on SST265 5-speed unit, fit a long-range tank, uprated suspension and a complete Casa DoubleDisc brake up front to ensure the scooters stopped as well as it went. We completely stripped the scooter down as Geoff wanted some parts painting satin-black, so if the job was worth doing, it was worth doing right.

A Casa DoubleDisc was also fitted up front, again in black and it really sets off well against the metallic green of the actual scooter. The scooter was cabled up, new wiring laid out and stainless fasteners fitted throughout. A new Black Edition SST265 engine fitted to the scooter is a sheer joy to use and a right grunt-monster. The prototype exhaust was a little too noisy but was changed as soon as we received the production units.

Geoff chose a new seat and a chromed rear grille to finish the scooter off. At our ‘Open Days Event’ in April 2019, this was the one machine that everyone asked us about. The combination of the colour, the motor, the black wheels & parts, the double disc and the overall aggressive look, seemed to tick all the right boxes for a lot of people.

This ultra-cool scooter is now back in the UK and as soon as its registered, Geoff will be out and about on it!
