SX 200 Dave The Rave

Dave and his wife Alex are without doubt RLC's most long established customers and have had over a dozen scooters built by us here at the shop. This one was found by Sticky of 'Scootering Magazine' and we passed on the details to Dave who was busy searching down an SX200 at the time. Dave snapped up the scooter and brought it down to us to have restored in an 'S Type' theme. Dave, and Alex, put a lot of miles in on their scooters both for work and pleasure so the emphasis was on total reliability. A pair of Pathfinder lights were added for extra lighting and of course, the looks. Sticky placed a photo of Dave on this scooter on the front cover of both versions of his 'Spanners Workshop Manual' and like it or not, that guarantee's the scooter 'iconic' status! I wonder what this scooter will be worth in years to come? Not that Dave will ever part with it..... Even now, several years after the resto' was completed, the scooter looks 101% bang on and is as reliable as ever. We've now also added a picture of Lorenzo Innocenti (yes - as in THE Innocenti family) sat on Dave's scooter at a Isle of Elba rally.
