TV 175 Series 2 SS - Isa, RLC

This TV SS was once owned by a German chap. Six months after the purchase of this Lambretta, he decided to visit Holland and whilst on a jolly, racked up a bill that he couldn't pay for. He left the scooter as a 'caution' against the unpaid bill, left for Germany after promising to return to clear the bill - and collect the bike. This he didn't do and the scooter sat in Holland until recently whereupon after a swift deal, Dean snapped her up as an Xmas present for Isabella. The fact that the scooter still had all the original German market spec Ulma accessories (fitted as standard) and 'that' rear number plate holder, made it all just that little bit more 'quirky'. Having been used for so little time, the scooter only had 3500km's on the clock and despite being stored in an exceptionally dusty place, it was solid and with very little surface rust. The engine started up with minimal work & some fresh fuel and it was just like riding a brand new scooter! We won't go into the full SP on the work carried out as that will be the subject of a forthcoming series of articles in 'Scootering Magazine' but suffice to say that it was dismantled 101% and then a full 'conserved' resto' was carried out. Just after the completion, Dean then rode the scooter over to the IOW / Brighton rallies in the UK in late summer. Several thousand miles later and the Lambretta is still running perfectly.

Totally original TV175 Series 2 spec.,6 volt 4 pole Ducati electrics, MB21 carb, std. gearing, std. exhaust. The whole engine only required new gaskets, oilseals and a small end bearing during the rebuild!
