Special 150 - Cesare Bergamaschi

We've known Cesare for years and his pizzeria is one of the best places to eat out in our area. Imagine our surprise when one evening he pipes up with,"wanna see my Lambretta?" Surprised was an understatement. We didn't even know he had a scooter. It turned out to be the Lambretta owned by his Father and although complete, needed a complete resto', ground up. The scooter had been subjected to a considerable front end smack years ago (Cesare : "At the time I was a nipper and I was with my Dad when that happened. I thought I was a goner!") so the frame needed some serious work in RLC's jig to sort that out. Once blasted it turns out that Cesare's brother, Stefano, runs a paintshop so no prizes for guessing who got that job... And very good he is too. Now we're on with the build and as it's a factory standard resto', we can do this with our eyes shut. Looking good... Update No.1: We finally got the scooter all finished and apart from a couple of teething probs, it ran really sweetly and looked amazing. Stefano & Cesare organized that their father came up to Cesares' pizzeria one evening and outside waiting for him was the finished, fully restored scooter! He was blown away and remained speechless for a couple of minutes. That evening we were treated to a few stories of what he had gotten up to with the scooter in the 70's and all & sundry had a top night out. Sorted.
