RLC has had all the main studs remade for Lambretta engines, to our exact requirements.
This is our complete set of high quality Italian made ZINC PLATED studs + nuts + washers for fixing engine chainside cover.
The product advantages of this kit over standard Lambretta stud kits is that the studs in this kit are designed specifically by us here at RLC. The short 6mm studs are 'stepped', which means that one side of the stud is slightly longer than the other. The reason for this is that the shorter threaded end fits externally and once the chainside cover has been fitted to the engine, with a deep-type 6mm nut fitted along with its washer, there will be no threads protruding from the end of the nut. Therefore the product advantages of this stud over a standard Lambretta stud are that aesthetically once fitted this is superb and very, very neat (see example pic). Secondly, protruding threads are prone to corrosion and the possibility of this happening with the 'stepped' RLC studs is eliminated.
Also, the longer 6mm stud for the exhaust tailpipe is longer on BOTH ends for more secure fixing, which means that there is more of the stud to enter INSIDE the actual casing and also there are more threads EXTERNALLY to attach the exhaust tailpipe to.
Again, the 8mm studs are also designed especially for RLC and have a few more threads on one side for ease of fixing the main exhaust bracket to the chainside cover.
