Partially assembled BSG305 engine. Now long out of production, grab yourself a piece of scootering folklore. What you see is what you get, along with a front sprocket, special flywheel nut, inlet manifold & exhaust stubs parts and a fibreglass head cowling that needs adapting (all not shown)
The casing is entirely CNC machined and the cylinder has a 305cc capacity, putting out approx. 50bhp at the rear wheel. It was us here at RLC that sorted out all the initial pre-'production' issues that BSG had, got the set-up right, subsequently promoted the engines and we even toured across Europe with one to show that could be done. As BSG's production times were totally unrealistic we went ahead with our own project (the SSR250/265 and SST226 engines) but the fact still remains that these CNC machines BSG305 units were what got the ball rolling regarding the large capacity new-generation Lambretta engines. Once the engines were have in stock are all sold, that's it and take our word that they will become a thing of legend.
This engine takes 'normal' Lambretta components to complete it (transmission, clutch, ignition, carb etc. etc.), albeit high-end top-drawer parts will be needed. This engine already has an Italian LI150 gearbox, Casa Performance gearbox endplate, 'OTT' top chain tensioner and multi-spline layshaft fitted. If you want a Protti exhaust for this engine but we can supply this upon request, in two possible verisons. The only reason we are not completing them ourselves is that we physically don't have the time to do so.
These engines normally cost nigh on €13,000 complete so even if you add the part needed to complete the unit, this still works out to be a fraction of the original RRP. It can be fitted to any Lambretta S1, S2, S3, GP DL or Serveta model.
