What with the interest in sidecars always on the up, we decided to give you an insight in to what we get up to regarding these 3 wheeled wonders. We've been attaching sidecars to Lambrettas for the last 5 years and over that time, we've managed to perfect various points, such a decent set of crashbars and our Lambretta sidecar hub conversion. The crashbars are handmade in stainless steel by the same people who make parts for the Ducati Grand Prix bike frames and apart from providing extra safety for the passenger, they also look the part. They come in two pieces ( front and rear ) and sit perfectly around the sidecars centre ridge. They're not cheap as they take two people a whole day to make, but they really are the business. The hub conversion came about due to 'Watsonians' having a right crappy wheel that not only require you to carry an extra spare wheel ( as they are more like a Mini wheel than a Lambretta one ) but they really do look dire to say the least.
Our hub conversion enables you to fit a Lambretta wheel as the hubs we use are heavily modified and reinforced Series 2 items. These come with all fixing brackets and spacers and have one of 'Gran Sports' discs mounted on the outside to finish the whole show off nicely. W've been perfecting these hub conversions for the last 5 years and have continually made small modifications until we now have it all off to a tee. Apart from these mods, we also stock sidecars and all their relative parts at all times.
